• If travelling from the North on the M5, after passing Exeter the M5 turns into the A38. If travelling from the East along the A30, join the M5 just after Exeter Airport and follow the instructions below.
• Shortly after Exeter the A38 splits in two, The A380 heading towards Torquay and the A38 continues towards Plymouth, keep to the right and continue on the A38.
• Approximately 10 miles after the split of the A38 & A380, you will arrive at the “Dart Bridge” Junction, Signposted “B'fastleigh Totnes A384”, take this exit. Turn right at the top of the slip road and drive over two bridges (first over the A38 dual carriageway and secondly over the River Dart).
• Just after the bridge over the river you come to a mini-roundabout, take the first exit to the left.
• Follow the road as it bares right and drops down hill past a petrol station (on right hand side). Just after the petrol station there are two roads on the right part of the Buckfastleigh one way system, continue past both and follow the road for a further 300 meters (approx) take the next turning right into Buckfastleigh. Signposted “Town Centre”.
• Drive into Buckfastleigh past a car park on the right hand side. At the junction ahead turn left (signposted All Routes / Town Hall), straight ahead is no entry again after a short distance.
• Drive up the hill past the Town Hall on your left and the junior school on the right, approx 350m further, at the top of the road you come to a T-junction where you turn right into Crest Hill. The South Dartmoor Bunkhouse is on the left hand side, approx 85m after the junction.
• Please Note: Below the bunkhouse Crest Hill is a "one way" road with a width restriction of six foot six inches.
• Parking is limited, so please be considerate of our neighbours and do not block their drives, if there is no space outside bunkhouse, parking is usually available at the top of the road by the afore mentioned Tjunction, or if necessary at one of the car parks.
